Curriculum

Shanghai Southwest Weiyu Middle School International Division provides a model world-class American college preparatory education in Shanghai, China. The curriculum combines the best practices of both Chinese and International educational systems. The school provides a rigorous US Common Core based curriculum for Chinese students who wish to attend universities world-wide, mainly in the US. The curriculum also offers AP Courses and Academic Electives in English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics. The curriculum is supplemented with numerous cultural activities that familiarize Chinese students with their future life in the US or other foreign countries.

Our curriculum is aimed to help students build a strong foundation of knowledge and promote engagement with the wider world to prepare them for leadership in a rapidly changing world.
