An Unforgettable visit to Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica Chinese Academy of Sciences

20 AP chemistry students visited Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica Chinese Academy of Sciences to learn the history of innovative drugs  and development from herbs to small molecules to genomic-era drugs, as well as took part in educational Q&A session with institute staff members. Students also toured the laboratory where they had the opportunities to attend the workshop of NMR equipment and molecular imaging machine. All efforts were intended to spark interest and offer an experience for students to understand the importance of science which can improve the lives of people.
