2022 Academic Year Commendation Ceremony

On the afternoon of March 14th, the International Department of Southwest Weiyu Middle School held the S1 Commendation Ceremony for the 2022 school year in the third-floor multifunctional classroom of the west campus. The ceremony recognized the achievements of students in competitions, activities, and academics during the past semester.

Ms. Huang Xujuan, the director of the International Department, along with Ms. Xiao Ling, the college counselor, Ms. Ma Ziqi, the teaching supervisor, Ms. Zhao Ting and Ms. Xu Xuan, the moral education supervisor, presented awards to students who excelled in competitions, active participants in activities, merit students, excellent student leaders, and scholarship recipients. The ceremony was also honored by the presence of Southwest Weiyu Middle School Party Secretary, Ms. Jin Qi, who presented the first prize scholarship and delivered a speech.

During the semester, the students achieved outstanding results in various subjects and fields. They shone brilliantly in academic competitions such as the Australian Mathematics Competition, the American Mathematics Competition AMC10/12, the Junior Economics Competition in the United States, the HOSA Future Leaders in Biology and Health Activities, the CTB Global Youth Research and Innovation Forum, and the BPA Business All-Around Challenge.

In addition, the students were actively engaged in campus activities, demonstrating their strong collective consciousness.

The Merit students of the International Department were recognized for their outstanding character and academic abilities. They were role models for their classmates, demonstrating practical attitudes and diligent study.

The excellent student leaders were also applauded for their exceptional roles. They assisted teachers in efficiently organizing events, inspired their classmates, and helped to create a positive classroom atmosphere.

The International Department awarded student scholarships to acknowledge and reward outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and other positive contributions made by students at various levels. Ms. Huang Xujuan presented the second and third prize awards, and Ms. Jin Qi presented awards to the first prize scholarship recipients.

Ms. Jin Qi's speech contained her appreciation for the students and her earnest expectations for their future growth. Her words were an inexhaustible driving force for the students, encouraging them to continue their pursuit of excellence.
