SWWYID English Speech Contest: Little things that matter

On the afternoon of Dec 16, SWWYID students and faculty members gathered together to appreciate six powerful speeches based on the theme “Little things matter”. The six contestants presented their everyday stories of friendship and family bond with such confidence and affection. Mr. Robert, one of the judges for the contest, commented that all contestants demonstrated their bravery and confidence by making it into the final.
The speech contest was meant to push SWWYID students to step outside of their comfort zone and be more aware of the everyday little moments that shape our lives but are, sadly, often overlooked. Judging by the performances of the contestants and the nodding heads of the audience, the show has certainly achieved these two goals.
