Highlights of Teaching - Civil War Escape Room

With this lesson, students will chase down a Confederate spy from the US Civil War! Students are broken into groups, and each group is provided a set hidden clues placed around them room, each clue leading to the next one, ultimately leading them to the identity of the spy.  The clues are inspired by real methods that were employed by spies during the American civil war.  Students will use their critical thinking skills while they also learn about real events from this historical period!
