ELA
The ELA department consists of five teachers from four countries: the United States, Wales, Scotland, and China. ELA offers students the opportunity to study a range of literature such as novels, dramas, short stories, poetry, essays, and creative nonfiction. Our curriculum offers three core courses: World Literature (grade 10), American Literature (grade 11), and British Literature (grade 12). Students may also take two literature-related academic electives: Creative Writing (grade 10) and Library Science (grades 11 & 12). ELA also serves the school by organizing and staffing the Writing Center, which offers students tutorials and workshops to improve their writing skill.
