Chinese Studies

As a school certified by the Municipal Education Commission, our school has implemented four national compulsory courses, Chinese language, politics, history and geography. We are committed to cultivating students with “Chinese heart, world vision and national soul” over the years according to the requirements of No. 37 document in 2013 by Shanghai Education Commission. These four compulsory local courses are incorporated into the student evaluation system through the credit system in the form of Chinese study, accounting for 3 points of the 23 credits for graduation. Based on the requirements of Shanghai Academic Level Qualification Examination, the teaching of these four Chinese courses are also carried out by doing combined projects. At present, there are 11 teachers in the Chinese curriculum team, all of whom have teaching certificates and are professional teachers certified by the education system of Shanghai Education Bureau.
