Celebration of the Mid-autumn Festival and Teachers Day

September is the month of gratitude to teachers, and coincidently this year, Teachers Day also falls on the day of the Mid-Autumn festival. Happiness has doubled through a series of activities held at the international department. While the students were enjoying the unity of Mid-Autumn, they took the chance to show their thankfulness to their teachers.

On the sunny morning of September 7th, the students of the Student Union were sending lovely gifts to their beloved teachers. The cute smartphone stand brought every staff a good mood for the day. Many students went to the office, sending cards to the teaching staff.The students also made a video in which they tried to copy the teachers’ habitual movements and words in class. The funny exaggeration led to ripples of laughter in the classrooms. The students also delivered thank you messages to all the teachers at the end of the video.

On the afternoon of September 8th, the Mid-Autumn flash mob took place in the hall. The performers impressed the audience with their beautiful voices and light steps in Hanfu. The commentator also carefully explained the characteristics of different styles of Hanfu, allowing teachers and students to appreciate the charm of Chinese culture.

 In the festive atmosphere, everybody experienced the charm of Chinese traditions. When Teachers Day meets the Mid-Autumn Festival, a rare coincidence interprets a strong sense of warmth.
