Highlights of Teaching - AP Literature
AP Language students completed a gallery walk where they selected various acceptance speeches and examined them for rhetorical effect.Students were tasked with selecting and printing out an acceptance speech they believed displayed considerable rhetorical significance. They then worked at their own pace to analyze the rhetorical devices and reflect on the rhetorical effects of their peers’ speeches.
In AP Literature, students reflected on their study of Macbeth by forming groups and collaborating on a way to adapt Shakespeare’s tragedy into different formats.Groups pitched differing concepts for adaptations that included a murder mystery game, modern drama, and computer-based RPGs.
