Highlights of Teaching - World History Research Project

As part of their unit on the history of the Golden Age of Middle Eastern history, students in Grade 10 World History completed a research project covering topics such as art, architecture, trade, learning, and trade of the period.

Students were divided into small groups and given a rubric that specified the format of the project. Using their textbook as well as online tools, students conducted their own research to dive deeper into the period beyond what they had learned through in-class lectures and reading.

Most students produced a 10-15 slide presentation that they then showed to their classmates. One group elected to produce a video presentation in place of slides.
