A cultural exploration to Dunhuang
In June 2024, students from the International Division of Shanghai Southwest Weiyu Middle School embarked on a cultural exploration to Dunhuang as part of their Social Practice Week. The journey included visits to the world-famous Mogao Caves, where students marveled at ancient Buddhist art and experienced the historical significance of the Silk Road. In addition to exploring the caves, students participated in practical activities such as traditional mural painting and desert adventures, deepening their understanding of Chinese heritage and the region’s artistic legacy. This unforgettable experience combined history, culture, and art, offering students a profound connection to their national heritage.
