Social Activity Week journey to Xinjiang
In June 2024, students and teachers from the International Division of Shanghai Southwest Weiyu Middle School embarked on a Social Activiity Week journey to Xinjiang, discovering the region’s cultural and historical treasures. Key moments included crossing the Kumtag Desert, visiting the ancient city ruins of Jiaohe, and exploring the engineering marvel of the Karez water system. This meaningful experience allowed students to witness Xinjiang's unique landscapes and appreciate the wisdom and resilience of its people. Through cultural exchanges and interactive activities, participants gained a deep understanding of China's diverse heritage, connecting classroom learning with the living history of the Silk Road.
