Outreach trip to Tapobhumi School in Nepal
In June, 25 students and 3 teachers from Southwest Weiyu Middle School International Division, accompanied by a parent volunteer, embarked on a one-week educational outreach trip to Tapobhumi School in Nepal. From June 23 to 29, the team engaged in an enriching service project, marking a deep cross-cultural exchange. After a warm welcome by Tapobhumi’s principal and vice-principal, the students prepared to lead lessons in English, art, science, music, and physical activities, tailored to local educational needs and designed well in advance. This trip provided hands-on teaching experiences, with students transitioning into “junior teachers” roles, fostering teamwork, adaptability, and cultural understanding. Celebrating the 11th year of this outreach tradition, Southwest Weiyu Middle School International Division continues to inspire global community connections, reinforcing values of empathy and service in young people.
