Face-to-Face with Teaching Research, Heart-to-Heart for Growth: Principal Leads New Chapter
Recently, the SWWYID has held a teaching seminar attended by Principal Mr. Chen Yong, Director Ms. Huang Xujuan, Vice Director Ms. Hu Shuangle, subject leaders, and foreign teachers. The seminar focused on key themes such as “Understanding and Relating to Students,” “Improving Classroom Efficiency,” and “Promoting Holistic Student Development.”
Teachers shared methods for fostering student-teacher communication, addressing individual needs, and improving classroom efficiency. For example, guiding students to set learning tasks and using varied teaching methods like group projects were discussed. The seminar also emphasized developing students' digital literacy, emotional intelligence, social skills, and cultural awareness.
Principal Mr. Chen highlighted the importance of integrating Chinese and Western educational philosophies and encouraged better communication between Chinese and foreign teachers. He also emphasized the value of open classes for teacher growth and the responsible use of electronic devices and AI in teaching.
This seminar provided a platform for sharing teaching experiences, fostering collaboration, and supporting student development. It reflects the department’s commitment to improving teaching quality and enhancing students’ learning experiences through continuous professional development.
